CaRool is a service company specialized in vehicle and heavy-duty tyre analysis and tyre management as part of fleet monitoring.

CaRool places great importance on the protection of your privacy and Personal Data and has always been committed to using the Personal Data of its customers and prospects only to the extent necessary for the proper functioning of the service offered (hereinafter the "Service"). Personal data refers to information concerning identified or identifiable individuals, directly or indirectly (hereinafter referred to as "Personal Data").

This policy aims to inform you about:

 

  • The Personal Data that CaRool processes and the reasons for the processing implemented,

  • How this Personal Data is used,

  • Your rights regarding the Personal Data concerning you.

This policy applies to the processing of Personal Data carried out by CaRool as part of its activities (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy").

All processing operations we carry out are conducted in compliance with the current legal framework applicable to the protection of Personal Data, including notably the European Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulation"), Law No. 78-17 "Data Protection Act" of January 6, 1978, as amended, and its implementing decrees.

 

This Policy is intended to apply to all users accessing the service offered. The Policy is an integral part of the general terms of use (hereinafter "Terms of Use").

CaRool reserves the right to modify its Policy at any time, particularly to evolve its services or comply with any new applicable regulations. The applicable policy is the one in force at the time of using the Service.

Therefore, it is advisable for the user to regularly consult the Policy to stay informed of any new updates.

1. Identity of the data controller:

This Policy aims to inform you about the processing of your Personal Data carried out by the company CaRool (Société par actions simplifiée – registered with the RCS of Nanterre under number 908 137 441, with its registered office at 22 rue des monts clairs, COLOMBES (92700)), acting as the data controller.

2. How does CaRool take into account the protection of personal data?

CaRool is committed to considering the protection of your Personal Data and your privacy from the outset and by default in the design of the services offered to you. To ensure security and guarantee the respect and proper exercise of your rights, measures to protect your personal data are implemented (these measures are specified in Article 3 of the Policy).

1.1 When do we collect your personal data?

As soon as you use our services, you may provide us with personal data:

  • During a tyre analysis, you will need to provide us with detailed information about the vehicle and its tyres.

CaRool is committed to collecting only the data strictly necessary for the direct or indirect provision of the subscribed services when they require processing of user personal data (identification data, professional life, connection data, economic and financial information, browsing data). When you use our services, we collect and process your personal data.

 

The personal data processing carried out by CaRool concerns the following data:

  • Personal identification and contact information: Phone number or email address.

  • Vehicle data: Vehicle registration number, mileage.

  • Photo data: Photos of the tyres.

  • Connection data: IP address.

  • Data related to your communications with our customer service: Communications you have sent to us if you have contacted our customer service.

1.1 For what purposes do we process your personal information ?

CaRool only processes your Personal Data for one of the following legally authorized purposes:

 

  • The performance of a contract, for example, to provide you with a tyre analysis.

  • When it is in the legitimate interest of CaRool.

  • When you have given your consent to the processing of your Personal Data. When this is the case, you may withdraw your consent at any time.

 

Among the examples of legitimate interests provided by the Regulation are fraud prevention.

1.2 What is the retention period for your Personal Data?

All personal data is deleted at most 12 months after the execution of a contract with the client.

In the specific case of unexploitable photos containing personal data, they will be deleted at most 6 months after their identification.

To ensure the proper execution of these purges, the user can exercise their right of access at any time, see below.

1.3 Who do we transmit your Personal Data to?

We do not share your personal data.

1.4 Are your Personal Data processed outside of the European Union?

All of your personal data is stored and processed within the European Union.

1.5 What are your rights and how can you exercise them?

You have the right to information, as well as the right of access, rectification, restriction, objection, erasure, deletion, and portability of your Personal Data, which you can exercise for legitimate reasons, and subject to the overriding legitimate grounds that CaRool may have for retaining your Personal Data.

 

You have the right to ask for:

Access and rectification of your Personal Data:

The exercise of the right of access allows you to know if data concerning you is processed and to obtain communication of it in an understandable format. It also allows you to verify the accuracy of the data and, if necessary, to have it rectified or deleted.

 

Deletion of your Personal Data:

Please note that deleting the data from your customer account will result in the deletion of your data and access to CaRool services.

 

To exercise your rights, which you can do at any time, your request must be sent to us by email, to the following address: contact@ca-rool.com, from the email address associated with the account to be deleted.

 

We will respond to you within one (1) month following the date of receipt of your request.

We use technologies commonly referred to as cookies. These include HTTP cookies; fingerprinting (calculating a unique identifier of the machine based on elements of its configuration for tracking purposes); invisible pixels or "web bugs" or any other identifier generated by software or an operating system.

A cookie is a file downloaded to the computer, tablet, or any other mobile device when accessing a website or application. This file can be read by its issuer during its validity period. They allow the operation of certain features, as well as recognizing the terminal concerned each time it accesses digital content containing cookies from the same issuer.
